3-Compartment Sink

A 3-compartment sink is a key part of restaurant kitchens. It is used for washing, rinsing, and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and other kitchen tools. It consists of three separate sections - one for each stage of the cleaning process.

  • The first compartment is filled with hot, soapy water for washing off food residue and dirt from the dishes.
  • The second compartment is filled with clean water for rinsing off the soap and any remaining debris.
  • The third compartment contains a sanitizing solution to kill bacteria and ensure that the dishes are safe for use.

A 3-compartment sink is important for keeping hygiene and sanitation standards in a restaurant. It helps stop cross-contamination and makes sure dishes are cleaned well.

For example, after washing a stack of dirty plates in the first compartment, rinse them in the second compartment. This helps remove any soap residue. Finally, the plates are submerged in the sanitizing solution in the third compartment to kill any remaining bacteria.

Overall, the three bay sink is a vital tool in restaurant kitchens to ensure that dishes are clean, safe, and ready for use.
