Sharp R-CD1800M TwinTouch 1800W Dual-Panel Commercial Microwave
Sharp R-CD1800M TwinTouch 1800-Watt Commercial Microwave Oven (0.75 cu ft, Dual Magnetron, Dual Control Panel, 11 Power Levels, 208/230V)
The Sharp R-CD1800M is an 1800-watt TwinTouch commercial microwave oven with dual magnetrons, dual control panels (one on each side of the unit), 10 computerized touchpads, 11 power levels, 4-stage cooking, SelectPower variable power, Express Defrost, and double and triple quantity programming. The TwinTouch design lets two operators run the same oven simultaneously from opposite sides at a pass-through or stacked station, and the 1800W output gives roughly 50 percent faster cook times than the 1200W R-CD1200M for the same workload.
The R-CD1800M is the middle-output TwinTouch model and runs on a 208/230V single-phase circuit with a NEMA 6-15P plug. It uses the same dual-magnetron architecture and dual-control-panel design as the 1200W R-CD1200M and 2200W R-CD2200M.
The R-CD1800M is cULus listed and NSF certified.

- Coffee shop chains with paired barista and food-prep stations on 208/230V
- Stadium, arena, and concession operations where cook time and operator throughput both matter
- Operations that have 208/230V available and want faster cook times than the 1200W R-CD1200M
TwinTouch Dual Control Panel
One full 10-touchpad control panel is mounted on each side of the unit, so two operators can program and start cycles independently from opposite sides. The dual-magnetron heating system feeds energy into the same shared 0.75 cu ft cavity, but the controls are duplicated so each operator runs their own programming without reaching across the unit or waiting for the other side.
This design saves counter space, runs on one electrical circuit, and lets both operators share the same set of programmed menu presets without reprogramming a second unit.
Dual-Magnetron System and 1800 Watts
The R-CD1800M uses two magnetrons feeding microwave energy into the cavity from different positions for more even heat penetration in dense portions. At 1800 watts of output, the unit re-thermalizes a typical 10-ounce pre-chilled entree in 30 to 40 seconds and defrosts a half-pound portion in 55 to 75 seconds, which is roughly 30 percent faster than the 1200W R-CD1200M and 50 percent faster than a 1000W medium-duty unit.
The unit draws 13.5 amps at 208V or 12.3 amps at 230V on a 208/230V single-phase circuit and requires a dedicated 15-amp circuit with NEMA 6-15R outlet. The 6-15P plug ships with the unit.
11 Power Levels, 4-Stage Cooking, SelectPower
The R-CD1800M has 11 power levels, 4-stage cooking, SelectPower variable mid-cycle power, Express Defrost, and double and triple quantity programming. 4-stage cooking is useful for complex menu items that need a defrost stage, two cook stages at different power levels, and a hold or finish stage in one button press. Triple-quantity programming heats three portions in one cycle from a single button press.
0.75 Cubic Foot Cavity
The 0.75 cu ft stainless steel cavity accommodates a 10-inch plate, smaller bowls and cups, and pre-packaged single-serving items. Stationary ceramic deck with stirrer fan distribution.
Construction
Door, cavity, and outer wrapper are all stainless steel. NSF/ANSI 4 sanitation construction. Durable side-hinged see-through door with tempered glass. Sealed membrane touchpads on both control panels.
Comparison to R-CD1200M (TwinTouch 1200W)
Same TwinTouch dual-control design, same dual-magnetron system, same cavity, same 4-stage cooking. R-CD1200M is 1200W on 120V (NEMA 5-20P). R-CD1800M is 1800W on 208/230V (NEMA 6-15P). Choose R-CD1800M for faster cook times when 208/230V is available.
Comparison to R-CD2200M (TwinTouch 2200W)
Same TwinTouch design, same dual-magnetron system, same cavity, same controls. Both run on 208/230V single-phase. R-CD1800M ships with NEMA 6-15P plug (15-amp circuit). R-CD2200M ships with NEMA 6-20P plug (20-amp circuit) and outputs 2200W. Choose R-CD2200M for maximum throughput. Choose R-CD1800M when the available circuit is 208/230V 15-amp.
Comparison to R-25JTF (Single-Control Heavy-Duty 2100W)
Both run on 208/230V. R-25JTF is single-operator with one control panel at 2100W. R-CD1800M is two-operator TwinTouch at 1800W. Choose R-CD1800M if two operators share the oven. Choose R-25JTF for single-operator maximum throughput.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the R-CD1800M used for?
High-volume two-operator service with 208/230V wiring available. Pass-through service windows, healthcare tray lines, hotel banquet service, stadium and arena concessions, paired barista and food prep stations, and any operation that wants TwinTouch dual-operator capability with faster cook times than the 1200W R-CD1200M.
What is TwinTouch?
Sharp's TwinTouch design puts a full 10-touchpad control panel on each side of the unit so two operators can program and start cycles independently from opposite sides. Both panels feed the same shared cavity and dual-magnetron system.
What is the difference between R-CD1800M and R-CD1200M?
Same TwinTouch design and dual-magnetron system. R-CD1800M is 1800W on 208/230V (NEMA 6-15P). R-CD1200M is 1200W on 120V (NEMA 5-20P). Choose R-CD1800M for faster cook times if 208/230V is available.
What is the difference between R-CD1800M and R-CD2200M?
Same TwinTouch design and dual-magnetron system. R-CD1800M is 1800W on a 208/230V 15-amp circuit (NEMA 6-15P). R-CD2200M is 2200W on a 208/230V 20-amp circuit (NEMA 6-20P). Choose R-CD2200M for maximum throughput when a 20-amp 208/230V circuit is available.
What electrical hookup does it need?
Dedicated 208/230V single-phase 15 amp circuit with NEMA 6-15R outlet. Draws 13.5 amps at 208V or 12.3 amps at 230V. The unit ships with a NEMA 6-15P plug.
What is 4-stage cooking?
4-stage cooking lets a single programmed button run the cycle through four different power level and time combinations in sequence. Useful for complex menu items that need a defrost stage, two cook stages at different power levels, and a hold or finish stage.
What is triple-quantity programming?
Triple-quantity programming heats three portions in one cycle from a single button press. The unit automatically scales the cook time based on the programmed single-portion time.
Can both control panels run different cycles at the same time?
The two control panels share the same cavity and dual-magnetron heating system, so only one cycle runs at a time. TwinTouch is about two operators having independent access to controls and shared menu presets.
Is it NSF and UL listed?
Yes, cULus listed for safety in the United States and Canada, and NSF certified for sanitation.
