Cubed Ice

For restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and office break rooms, the best way to get ice is to use a commercial ice maker. It will freeze and store ice automatically. Before making a purchase, you need to determine your ice needs. You should plan for 1 to 1.5 pounds of ice for each meal. Divide that by seven and multiply by 12. This will give you the total daily ice usage. For cold drinks like tea, smoothies, and coffee, the best temperature is between 38 and 42 degrees. If the temperature goes above 42 degrees, the drinks taste flat. If it drops below 38 degrees, the taste is also affected.
