Before You Order
- This is the propane model. Order the ATFS-40-NG for natural gas.
- Gas: 3/4" NPT rear connection with a regulator. Atosa sets it at 10" W.C. for propane.
- Check your space: the ATFS-40-LP is 15-3/5" wide, 30-1/10" deep and 44-2/5" tall, and weighs 131 lb.
- Atosa's manual says to leave at least 6" on both sides and the back (about 27-3/5" of width and 36-1/10" of depth for the ATFS-40-LP), and to install the fryer under an exhaust hood as local code requires.
- Atosa's manual says an authorized, licensed technician must install it, and that it is not for outdoor use.
- Add oil or solid shortening before you light the main burners, and never fill above the oil level line. Melt shortening at the lowest setting.
Cleaning and Care
- Before first use, wipe the fryer with a mild detergent.
- To boil out the tank, fill it with water and detergent below the oil line, heat 5 to 10 minutes, let it soak, wipe it down, then drain and rinse. For tablets, see the Atosa ATTAB1 boil out tablets.
- Do not use a wire brush on the tank, and do not hose down or pressure wash the fryer.
- Atosa says to have the flue cleaned every 3 to 6 months, and to have the fryer checked once a year, by a qualified technician.
