Restaurant Equipment and Supply for Grand Junction, Palisade, Fruita and the Grand Valley
The Grand Valley is Colorado's fruit and wine country. Palisade peaches have grown here since the 1880s, the Grand Valley became Colorado's first American Viticultural Area in 1991, and Mesa County counted 2,353 farms in the 2022 Census of Agriculture. Restaurants here cook with what grows down the road.
Downtown Grand Junction was named the top Main Street in the country by USA Today 10Best readers in 2024, and Bin 707 Foodbar made The New York Times list of the 50 best restaurants in the US in 2025. Palisade hosts its Peach Festival every August and Colorado Mountain Winefest every September, and Fruita celebrates a headless chicken with wing-eating contests every year.

Since 2015, The Restaurant Warehouse has shipped to thousands of commercial kitchens in every state. Grand Valley orders ship from our Denver warehouse, so Grand Valley restaurants get the same low prices and freight delivery right to Grand Junction, Palisade, and Fruita. The most common orders here are reach-in refrigerators, freezers, sandwich prep tables, bar refrigeration, ice machines, and food truck equipment.
Palisade Peaches and the Peach Festival
John Harlow planted the Grand Valley's first fruit trees in 1882 at his Rapid Creek farm near present-day Palisade, and by 1886 his orchard had more than 2,000 peach trees, according to Colorado Newsline. Grand Junction held its first Peach Day in 1887, the railroad reached Palisade in 1890 and made refrigerated peach shipping possible. Today Palisade has more than 25 orchards and farms, and Colorado growers statewide picked about 13,000 tons of peaches worth almost $36 million in 2025. The Palisade Peach Festival runs every August at Riverbend Park, with growers selling peaches by the case, a peach-eating contest and a local chef throw down. Colorado Newsline puts attendance at about 10,000 a year.
Kitchens that buy fruit by the case in August need two-door reach-in refrigerators and freezers to hold the harvest, work tables for cutting and canning, and bakeries selling peach pies and pastries need ovens and countertop display cases.
Grand Valley Wine Country, Winefest and Palisade Spirits
Grand Valley settlers had their first grape crush by 1885, and Gov. George A. Crawford planted a 60-acre vineyard in 1890. Then Mesa County went dry in 1909, Colorado followed in 1916, and many growers swapped vines for peaches. The Grand Valley AVA was established on November 25, 1991, as Colorado's first, with about 800 acres of vines today. The Denver Gazette says the Grand Valley grows 80% of Colorado's wine grapes. Colorado Mountain Winefest, which started in 1992 with five wineries, fills Riverbend Park in Palisade on the third weekend of every September. Palisade also pours its own spirits and beer: Peach Street Distillers was founded there in November 2005, and Palisade Brewing Company, open since 2005 on Peach Avenue, is the largest self-distributing brewery in Mesa County, according to KJCT.
Tasting rooms, distillery bars and taprooms need bar refrigeration, back-bar coolers, draft beer coolers and glass merchandisers, plus ice machines that keep up on a hot festival weekend.
Main Street Grand Junction: Bin 707, Brewpubs and Markets
Visit Grand Junction says downtown has no franchises, and its Main Street doubles as an open-air gallery of bronze sculptures. Chef-owner Josh Niernberg opened Bin 707 Foodbar in 2009, serving seasonal Colorado cooking with Southwestern and Mexican flavors, and moved it to a new downtown space in 2024. Niernberg was a James Beard Outstanding Chef semifinalist in 2022, 2023 and 2025. Junct'n Square Pizza has made deep-dish pizza since 1977, and Rockslide Brew Pub on Main Street, open since November 1, 1994, is the city's original brewpub, according to Visit Grand Junction. Market on Main takes over Main Street from 3rd to 7th on Thursday evenings from July to late September, and the Mesa County Fair brings 4-H, a rodeo and food trucks to the fairgrounds every July.
Chef-driven lines rely on undercounter refrigerators, chef bases and charbroilers, pizzerias need pizza prep tables and ovens, and market and fair vendors run on food truck equipment with compact griddles and fryers.

Restaurant Supply Store in Grand Junction
We ship straight to your Grand Junction restaurant. Most Grand Valley orders arrive in 1 to 3 business days from our Denver warehouse, with free freight and free lift gate service. Will-call pickup in Denver is available for verified restaurant businesses, but Denver is a long drive over the mountains on I-70, so most Grand Valley kitchens skip the drive and let us ship it. Why lose a day renting a truck when freight comes to your door or curb? Mesa County Public Health inspects restaurants across Grand Junction, Palisade and Fruita, usually once a year, and posts inspection reports online. Most Grand Valley calls are for a fast replacement, like a reach-in refrigerator that quit in the middle of peach season or an ice machine that can't keep up with a festival weekend, or for a full equipment package for a new restaurant, taproom or food truck. Tell us what you are cooking and how much space you have, and we will help you size the line.
