Is the RER55ASN the Right Cooker?
The RER55ASN is for kitchens with a natural gas line that need far more rice per batch than an electric countertop cooker gives. One 22 minute batch makes 100 bowls, versus 66 bowls from our largest electric cooker, the SEJ60000.

Gas type. The RER55ASN runs on natural gas at 35,000 BTU/h. The RER55ASL runs on propane at 34,000 BTU/h. Capacity and size are the same.
Should I get a gas or electric rice cooker?
Choose this gas model when you need 55 cups per batch and have a natural gas line under a hood. Electric models top out at 33 cups but plug into a standard 120V outlet.
Can the RER55ASN run on propane?
Order the RER55ASL for propane. Do not connect this natural gas model to propane.
