A 1/2" x 36" Gas Hose Kit
This 1/2 inch gas hose is 36" long and comes with all the Kit #3 parts.
The 1/2" hose carries the least gas of the three Kit #3 diameters. BK rates the BKG-GHC-5036-SCK3 at 82,000 BTU per hour, compared with 195,000 for the 3/4" x 36" and 373,000 for the 1" x 36". Atosa gas equipment uses a 3/4" connection, so for an Atosa unit the BKG-GHC-7536-SCK3 is the matching 36" kit.
Going from the 24" kit to this 36" adds 12" of hose and drops the rating by 8,000 BTU per hour. The 48" gives up another 6,000, so the 36" is the middle ground when 24" is too tight.
Good For
- Movable gas equipment rated at or under 82,000 BTU per hour, BK's rating for the 1/2" x 36"
- Equipment with a 1/2" gas connection and a lighter gas load
- Setups where 24" is too tight, with the 1/2" x 36" hose off the floor and free of sharp bends
What Is in Kit #3
- 1/2" x 36" gas hose
- Quick disconnect (quick connect)
- Shut-off ball valve
- Two 90° female elbows
- Restraining cable and hardware, with screws and plastic anchors

Installation Notes From BK
- Installation and testing must be done by qualified personnel, following the National Fuel Gas Code (ANSI Z223.1 / NFPA 54) or CSA B149.1 and local codes.
- The shut-off ball valve goes at the connection from the gas line to the hose, within 6" of the appliance.
- The restraining cable must always be connected while the appliance is in use. BK says leaving it off voids the warranty.
- Follow the gas flow arrows on the quick connect.
- Do not use the quick connect where gas feeds a line of appliances from two places (a dual fed manifold). Use only the shut-off ball valve there.
- No sharp bends, twists or double bends, and the hose must not touch the floor.
- Check the finished assembly for leaks. Never use an open flame to test.
- BK says to use a new hose and hardware for each application, and not to move an installed hose to another location.
Before You Order
- Capacity: BK lists 82,000 BTU per hour for this size with the shut-off valve and quick connect installed. Check it against your appliance's BTU rating.
- BK designs this hose for movable gas equipment.
- Have a qualified gas installer pick the size and do the install.
- Measure from the gas outlet to the appliance's gas inlet. If 36" won't reach without stretching or sharp bends, the 48" kit is next. If 36" leaves hose lying on the floor, look at the 24".
